Volunteers ISO/CASCO 17025 Working GroupISO/IEC 17025 is going to be reviewed and regarding the relevance that this norm has in the activity of our laboratories it is necessary that someone through UILI can drive laboratories opinion to the ISO/CASCO working group in charge of preparing the draft of the reviewed norm. UILI has an A liaison status with ISO/CASO and according with its rules UILI can propose directly a nominee to take this part in this working group. The deadline for applications to nomination is the 6th of June. By this mean UILI IS SEARCHING FOR VOLUNTEERS WHO WANT TO APPLY TO BE NOMINATED FOR THE ISO/CASCO WORKING GROUP THAT WILL REVIEW THE ISO/CASCO 17025. UILI is calling for nominations from suitably qualified and experienced people from UILI members, to take part of the working group that will be established to undertake the revision of ISO/IEC 17025. Nominees must be prepared to commit to the following: - There will be 2 or 3 meetings each year (3 if there is a need for a separate drafting group meeting);
- The participant MUST attend all of the meetings in person and MUST therefore have the full support of their employer;
- The likely scenario, should the ballot be successful, would be: 2014 - 1 meeting; 2015 - 3 meetings; 2016 - 2 meetings;
- The time frame to complete the revision is 3 years maximum;
All nominations must be accompanied by a short summary detailing experience relevant to this role and must be received by the UILI Secretariat at secretariat@uili.org by no later than Friday 30 May 2014. Register here as volunteer
